For the most part I use this area to bitch about something or someone that I don't like or agree with.

However at this time I would like you to know about a local business that I think deserves this space.(at least till I find something to bitch about) The name of the business is: Knight Shooting Sports, they are located just south of 126th Ave. on the West side of US 19 north. For the record their address is as follows:

Most all their prices and rules are listed below. They have 7 indoor rifle stations for shooting up to 50 yards and 8 pistol stations for shooting up to 25 yards. There is always at least one range safety officer on duty, to make sure your shooting experience is a safe one.

There are soda machines and snack food available if ya want to eat after ya do some shooting.

You can even "RENT" almost any type of handgun or rifle available if you don't own one yourself. By the way if you are thinking about purchasing a firearm of some type, you owe it to your self to drop in and try one out before you buy one. Be sure to check out their selection of firearms while you are there. Hell you test drive a car before you buy it don't you? Why not a firearm? No! You can't take rented weapons out of the range.

Better yet, you can even rent fully automatic machine guns!! That's right--fully automatic.

Having been a firearms dealer myself, I know how much hard work these folks are putting into making this shop and shooting range a success. Before I forget this is also a fully equipped firearms dealer. They carry a full line of clothing, ammo, holsters and all types of other accessories. If you can think of it, they probably have it, or they can get it for you.

Last but not least, they have one of the largest inventory of firearms that I know of in the area. Hand guns, rifles, shotguns, machine guns, police weapons you name it they have it.

So if you get a chance, stop in and say "HI" to Mark and his crew--they would love to see you and talk shop (guns) with you. Below you can find some information on the "Concealed Weapons Permit Classes" they have and a lot of other good information.

$12.00 per hour per person
$20.00 for two hours
$6.00 per hour for second person in lane

Handgun-Eye and hearing protection, 50 rounds of ammunition, 1 hour range time $29.00
Rifle-Eye and hearing protection, 40 rounds of ammunition, 1 hour range time $31.00
Auto Rifle-Eye and hearing protection, 40 rounds of ammunition, 1 hour range time $39.00

PERMITTED FIREARMS:
Any caliber up and including 50 BMG.
(50 cal. BMG must use frangible house ammo)

RESTRICTED FIREARMS:
Black Powder or Muzzle loaders.

PERMITTED AMMUNITION:
Shooters may bring their own ammunition. Only currently produced ammunition should be used. Ammunition brought into the range may be checked by personnel. Shotguns may be used with slug or OO buckshot when firearm is fully choked.

RESTRICTED AMMUNITION:
No steel core, armor piercing, tracer, incendiary,tungsten core, snake-shot, bird-shot is permitted (Management reserves the right to refuse use of any ammunition it believes injurious to the facilities.)

RANGE FACILITY:
Indoor, Air Conditioned, and Ventilated. Must be 18 yrs. of age. Under 18, may share a lane with legal parent or guardian. Must be at least 21 yrs. of age to shoot full-auto or handgun, or 18 for long gun rentals. Persons between 18 and 20 yrs may share a lane and rental firearm with eligible renter.
